Offers free literacy tutoring to adults reading below the 5th grade level. Uses the Laubach method of instruction and a one-to-one approach. Offers GED and English as a Second Language classes as well as small group instruction in reading, math, writing and life skills.

Teaches job development skills, parenting and home management skills and encourages personal development in a 5-week program. Transportation and child care assistance are available for those who are eligible. Students who complete the GOALS program and obtain a GED or high school diploma may pursue other training at Adult Vocational Services, full-time employment, or a college degree. ELIGIBILITY: Single parent or pregnant female; age 18-35; unemployed or have no job skills; in need of GED or high school diploma.
