Congratulations 93,789 readers reported their reading!

Do you read some each day? It can be anything, a book, magazine, newspaper, or website. It can be for work, school or leisure, with our children or by ourselves.

Our children need us to show them how important reading is to their success in life. We know children learn what is important by watching, so let's show them how important reading is by being counted!

Watch for more information~ Be counted!!

This City Reads!

9th Annual Day of Reading

When?

Wednesday, February 8th

What?

It’s a county-wide day of reading.  You are encouraged to join others in the community and read for ½ an hour during the day.  This year’s goal is to have 100,000 readers in Summit County! Report that you’ve read in order to be counted.

How do I get counted?

Sign up on our website or turn in a commitment form at your library before or on February 10th.   Other options are to email or to call This City Reads! at 330.643.9099 or 330.643.9185 to report that you’ve read.

Where?

Read for ½ an hour anywhere you like.  Check the This City Reads! website closer to the day for a list of the day’s local activities.

Who is This City Reads!?

This City Reads! is a community alliance of 100 organizations, who have come together to increase the power of reading in our community for the future success of families, individuals, and businesses.

Why Read?

Read to increase your reading skills and vocabulary.
